Account Manager

Job Purpose
To be the key client point of contact, representing the client’s views and point of view in the delivery of projects, and ensure the delivery of high quality, effective projects for those clients.
Main Responsibilities and Activities
Primary owner and manager of key projects and campaigns within the agency
Author and owner of the key project documents including status reports, contact reports and timing plans, ensuring they are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Have a thorough understanding of your department's roles and responsibilities and all of the agency's processes. Actively drive best practice processes across all projects working with other team members to ensure a consistently high standard across the whole agency.
Meet and liaise with clients/prospects to identify project requirements
Meet and liaise with clients/prospects to identify project future business opportunities
Responsible for all client communications
Work with the Strategy and Creative Departments to ensure flawless delivery whilst ensuring that the project and account hit the client’s and the company’s KPI’s
Work with the Account Director to build and nurture existing client relationships within the agency
Management and development of junior staff members including designated Account Executive
Write clear internal briefs based on client communications for all internal departments
Establish a clear Scope of Work for each project to ensure roles and responsibilities are established from the offset
Present, alongside agency colleagues creative responses, strategy and insight ideas and concepts to the client
Work with Fan Intelligence on monitoring the effectiveness of projects and campaigns developing and contributing to the project evaluation
Arrange and attend meetings as required
Manage time and commercial performance on projects to provide high level of service to clients without over-servicing
Advise the Account Director of any opportunities and threats to the account while referencing the account plan that has been set
Skills & Experience
Must have:
• 3 years in agency brand communications
• Strong account delivery focus
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Team leadership and motivation
• Keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication and 'people skills', for working with a range of colleagues and clients
• A creative approach to every project and opportunity
• Generate client & market insights with focus on key accounts
• Social media and digital production understanding
• An inherent knack for delighting and inspiring our clients on a daily basis
• Strong Client Servicing experience
• The ability to develop client leads, pitches and presentations
• Great presentation and pitching skills
• An entrepreneurial approach to create wider opportunities
• Good business sense and the ability to work to budgets
• Understanding on how to deliver joined up campaigns
• An understanding of internal communications and building brands from the inside
• Worked with a wide range of agencies, partners, suppliers and clients
• A love of contemporary culture or sport
